the Ishibashi Foundation
In embracing the reality of a sea change, we are actively carrying on contributions in the areas of art, education, and the development of culture and academic research, while maintaining good relations with our grantees.

ISHIBASHI Shojiro had been donating steadily towards the advancement of education and the prosperity of society since the beginning of the Showa era. Upon the establishment of the Ishibashi Foundation in 1956, his philosophy was handed on to the Foundation. Since then, the Foundation has been actively contributing to projects in various areas in accordance with the philosophy laid down in the prospectus of the Foundation. From fiscal years 1956 through 2009, the Foundation has donated to 2,107 projects, amounting to a total of 4.97 billion yen.
